Colorado’s newest city selects services provider
Castle Pines North partners with CH2M HILL

CASTLE PINES NORTH, Colo., Sept. 12, 2008 — The Castle Pines North City Council has unanimously approved CH2M HILL OMI as the city’s partner to provide a range of municipal services.

The contract, which took effect Aug. 15, calls for CH2M HILL OMI to operate, maintain and manage several city services in a phased approach as Castle Pines North continues to grow, including community development, administrative management services and public works support. The five-year contract is valued at about $1 million annually.

“Castle Pines North is focused on nurturing a vibrant, prosperous community while preserving and enhancing the natural resources and open spaces that our residents so enjoy,” says Mayor Maureen Shul. “The combination of CH2M HILL OMI’s strong environmental values and unparalleled municipal management expertise was the right choice for our city.”

“We appreciate the opportunity to expand our partnership with Castle Pines North and to continue delivering excellent service to its citizens,” says Gary Miller, senior vice president of CH2M HILL OMI. “Helping cities advance and enhance the quality of life in their communities is at the heart of what we do, and it’s particularly fulfilling to be serving a community so close to our headquarters.”

Castle Pines North already has been working with CH2M HILL OMI. In January 2007, incorporation advocates retained the company to assess the financial viability of cityhood. The company developed a financial model and budget for the prospective city, including identifying potential revenue streams and forecasting expenses for services based on the combination of in-house and outsourced services. The comprehensive study provided vital information for voters as they considered incorporation.
