Nov. 6, 2007—Professional marketing and communications associations have recently recognized CH2M HILL OMI's creative work with five communications awards.

earned
an Award of Merit for their work
on the
company's monthly Health & Safety
Toolkit campaign.
-- An Award of Merit in the 2007 International Association of Business Communicators Southern Region Silver Quill Awards competition, for the company's Monthly Health & Safety Toolkit campaign. The toolkit program helps reiterate to employees the importance of following good safety practices every day, and it equips managers with the information they need to conduct mini-training refreshers on different safety topic every week. Other companies recognized in this 27-chapter competition include Shell Oil Company, Texas Instruments, BP America and Black & Veatch.
-- A Gold Award in the 2007 Association of Marketing & Communications Professionals’ MarCom Awards competition, for the corporate “Solutions Circles” advertising campaign. The ads promote each of the company's four primary service areas: operations and maintenance consulting, water and wastewater contract O&M, public works, and municipal services. Chevron, Procter & Gamble, IBM and Lockheed Martin were among the other winners in this international competition.

The Communications team in Sandy Springs, Ga.,
earned a Bronze Flame Award for their
work on the city’s 2006 annual report. -- Bronze Flame Award from the IABC Atlanta chapter, for the 2006 Annual Report developed for the City of Sandy Springs, Ga. It was written and designed by employees of CH2M HILL OMI, which delivers complete municipal services to Sandy Springs, including communications support. Other winners include the Southern Company, Wal-Mart, the Centers for Disease Control and UPS.
-- Two additional Gold Awards in the 2007 MarCom Awards competition, one for the Sandy Springs 2006 Annual Report and the second for the city's commemorative pin collections, developed by CH2M HILL OMI people as a promotional item.
“These awards reflect the caliber of work we all strive to deliver every day – whether it’s communicating with our employees, promoting our company in the industry, or serving our clients,” says Susan Mays, CH2M HILL OMI Marketing & Communications director. “It’s especially meaningful to be recognized by our peers. I’m very proud of CH2M HILL OMI’s communications and graphics professionals for their work on these and so many other projects.”
This is the second award CH2M HILL OMI has earned this year for advertising, and it’s the second recognition CH2M HILL OMI has earned for health and safety communications. It’s also the second IABC Atlanta award for the Sandy Springs team, which earned recognition for the city’s Web site last year. In all, the company has won more than two dozen marketing and communications awards. |
