July 1, 2005—The American Water Works Association in its July edition of Opflow published a front-page story by OMI’s Kirby Chaney about his experiences in Banda Aceh, Indonesia, following the Dec. 26, 2004 tsunami. Staff from OMI and CH2M HILL arrived in Banda Aceh one month after the tsunami to help set up and operate a mobile treatment plant to provide survivors of the tsunami with potable water.
