Protecting precious resources |

Whether a wetland or a waterfall, an aquifer or an ocean, water is undeniably one of the world’s most precious resources. Since CH2M HILL OMI was established in 1980, we’ve been working to help communities and industries not only deliver safe drinking water to people but also provide environmental protection through smart wastewater-systems management.
Applying our knowledge, skills and services to preserve, protect, reclaim and recycle water has been the heart of what we do and formed a strong heritage of environmental responsibility that has only grown over the years. In addition to working to make our own operations sustainable, we now also offer our customers a range of sustainable solutions – not only in the water realm but also in municipal services, public works, community development and management, and more.
With the design and engineering expertise of CH2M HILL, we can also help clients build environmentally friendly facilities, find better ways to manage and control greenhouse gas emissions, develop renewable energy projects, restore and build wetlands, and obtain many other innovative solutions that help clients meet their own sustainability objectives.

Environmental commitment in the community
CH2M HILL OMI is part of the community of water and wastewater professionals – public and private – working together to improve public health, the environment and the quality of life around the globe. We invite you to join us in our support of two key environmental/community programs:
- Water For People, which helps the most impoverished people worldwide improve their quality of life by supporting sustainable drinking water, sanitation improvements and hygiene projects. Our employees donate hundreds of hours and collect thousands of dollars every year to help support this global nonprofit’s mission.
- World Water Monitoring Day, a monthlong, worldwide opportunity to positively impact the health of rivers, lakes, estuaries and other water bodies. Volunteer monitoring groups, water quality agencies, students, and the general public are invited to test four key indicators of water quality: temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, and turbidity.
