Quality has been an integral part of the way CH2M HILL OMI does business and remains one of our seven core values that guide our operations. In 2000, we earned the coveted Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. We accepted the award from U.S. President George W. Bush and the Department of Commerce at a ceremony in April 2001. Named after a former Secretary of Commerce, the Baldrige Award is an annual award that recognizes organizations for performance excellence. CH2M HILL OMI is the first-ever Baldrige Award winner from the water industry, and the first winner from Colorado.
CH2M HILL OMI began our quality journey in 1990. Ten years later, we won the nation’s highest award for quality. But the journey’s not over. Now it’s our pleasure to share what we’ve learned with others. We have responded to more than 800 requests for information and reached nearly 20,000 people through meetings, teleconferences and presentations.
