CH2M HILL OMI’s quality process focuses on empowering employees to develop new approaches to enhance how they perform their jobs. Our obsession with quality is evident in the way we treat our clients, how we interact with regulatory agencies, what we do to protect the environment, and how we empower our employees in their jobs.
Our mission statement (now part of a broader Purpose Statement) was one of the early outgrowths of the "Obsessed with Quality" process. The mission statement, prepared by a team of employees and sponsored by senior leaders, defines company goals and values. Our motto summarizes its three main goals:

- Enhancing the environment
Our E3 motto illustrates how we do business every day. For our clients, the embodiment of E3 means lower costs, world-class quality, innovation, amazing service and long-term relationships.
Exceeding our customers’ expectations means just that: going beyond what is expected. It means providing customers with amazing customer service. One of the ways CH2M HILL does this is through external customer satisfaction surveys. By surveying our clients, we stay in touch with their needs, and we make changes and adjustments where necessary.
Empowerment is a fundamentally different way of working together. In an empowered organization, employees and teams feel responsible not only for doing their jobs but also for making the whole organization work better. CH2M HILL OMI’s empowered employees are active problem-solvers who help plan how to get things done – and then do them. At CH2M HILL OMI, employees are paid to think.
